Calling everyone who has had a game idea for a while! Even if it hasn’t been a while. Still, have a game idea that you want to see made into a game? Then this is your chance. 

7 Generation Games is currently running “Unblocked: The No-Code Game Competition“, where you turn your game idea into a reality. Keep reading to find out more.

Who? 

You! 

You can build a game using 7 Gen Blocks and enter our competition to win cash prizes. Participants must be 18 or older and residents of the United States or Canada (excluding Quebec) to be eligible to win. 

What? 

Build a game. 

What should your game teach? Your game can teach ANYTHING, as long as it’s school and work friendly. So no violence, sex, nudity, or hate speech.

What is considered a game? Your game should have a splash screen, an intro block, a mini-game block, and an end screen. Also, your game must be in English or Spanish.   

What do game examples look like? Here are examples of games other people have already built: Built with Blocks.

Where can I find 7 Gen Blocks Game Builder resources? You can find online step by step instructions on building and editing blocks, PowerPoint Presentations and PDFs that you can download to take on the go, and YouTube videos walking you through game building and editing steps with Julia on the Support Page of the 7 Gen Blocks website.   

When? 

Now! 

You have until September 15, 2026 to build your game and enter the competition using the official 7 Gen Blocks contest entry form.  

Why? 

To possibly win cash prizes and help a good cause!

There are two prize tracks and one completed game gets you into both:

Best Game: $500 first, $300 second, $200 third.

Best Artwork: $500 first, $300 second, $200 third.

Note: The Best Artwork prize is for human-made art only.

Also, help out a good cause at the same time. A couple of 7 Generation Games investors offered to donate $50 for every game built, up to $4,000. You don’t need to do anything extra. Make a game and they’ll see it in their database. An extra $50 will be donated to the World Food Program’s earthquake response in Venezuela.
